The Matric class of 2021 has surpassed all expectations! In many ways their task was arguably even harder than that of the previous year’s group, since their Grade 11 year was so severely disrupted that most teachers first had to ensure that foundations normally laid in Grade 11 were properly consolidated even before they could start Grade 12 work.

Top 3 2021

Yet, despite those odds and the prevailing uncertainty brought on by the pandemic, The class of 2021 did exceptionally well. We had a 97,4% pass rate, with a Bachelor Pass (exemption) rate of 87,4%, the best we have ever achieved! There were 9 distinctions (A aggregates) overall, with our top students being Tasneem Ismail (87,86% – 6 distinctions, including 98% in Accounting, 94% in Life Sciences and 92% in Maths), Qaasim Solomon (86,29% – 7 distinctions, including 92% in Engineering Graphics and Design and 91% in Life Sciences) and Imaan Abrahams (85,0% – 6 distinctions, including 94% in Life Sciences and 92% in Afrikaans).
